I’ve been a Realtor® in the State of Oregon since 1975, listing and selling properties throughout the Portland metro area.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, I have far too many hobbies and interests. Now, I’ve added yet another one to my long list – photography. I am not a photographer but consider myself a very “raw” beginner, a newbie. However, I want to learn, which is why I started my two photo blogs: ALL ABOUT…..Lake Oswego Living.A Photo Blog sharing pictures of my hometown, Lake Oswego, Oregon and my state with ALL ABOUT…..Oregon Snapshots.

I have an inexpensive Canon Power Shot A400. Now that I have some photos under my belt so to speak, I’m ready to move on to new camera. Although I read somewhere recently, it isn’t the camera as much as the photographer. The article said you can take photos from a disposable camera, as well as an expensive camera, and still have great photos to share. It said you need to have a creative eye. I’ve seen some photographers take their skill beyond just the “taking of the picture” to an art form and I admire their capabilities.

So far, however, I’ve had a lot of fun with this photo blog. Hopefully, my pictures will improve as I continue to post them. My intent is to go “under the skin” of Oregon to show different sides of this State.

It’s been far more fun taking pictures than writing my daily real estate blog! If I had it to do all over again, I would only do a photo blog.

And, to think of the zillions of trips I’ve taken and never once took a picture. If only I had come upon this new-found interest of mine earlier.
