May Day

This is usually around the time I get ready to plant my geraniums.  I’ve been waiting for warmer weather for what seems like forever.

Winter Flowers

Trees have started blooming, tulips are poking their heads out, my forsythia is bright yellow and my peonies are sprouting.  These camellias, that typically bloom in January and February, were in full color at the Lake Oswego Country Club the other day.

Has this been a false spring?  We’ve had some really nice days but it’s still raining, and it is still winter.  After-all Phil saw his shadow.

Spring Fever

While showing property a couple of weekends ago, it was just pouring rain and I had to stop at the grocery store on my way home after my last appointment.  It was a dark and gloomy day.  These primroses lifted my spirits after a long weekend of working.  How vivid the colors.  I must admit I’ve got Spring fever.

Punxsutawney Phil makes his predictions tomorrow (Ground Hog Day).  I’m seeing signs of Spring all around town and I hope Phil says it is coming soon.  Ah, ‘come on Phil, just say it…say Spring will be here soon.
