Up Up and Away

Took this from my car while sitting at a stop light on Boones Ferry Road in Lake Oswego. I felt I was floating on clouds just looking at them.

A Change In Time.allaboutlakeoswegolivingaphotoblog.com

A Change In Time

Today we turn our clocks ahead one hour – Spring forward.

When I was out taking pictures recently, this small planting in the Lake Grove area of Lake Oswego caught my eye.  It reminded me of the passage of time.  Winter, with its grass stark and brown, while waiting for the bright colors of Spring.   Spring is just a short time away.  A change in time and seasons.  So I took this picture “just because”.

It Is Just A Joke.allaboutlakeoswegolivingaphotoblog.com

It Is Just A Joke

They say Oregonians have moss growing between their toes because it rains here all the time.  Except, you might not believe me when I say it doesn’t rain here all the time.

For those that don’t live in this part of the world and may not know what moss looks like, I thought I’d share this picture of it. Moss is growing all over these rocks though.

We’ve had some really nice days this winter, so I doubt if any of us who live here have moss growing between our toes this year. (It’s just a joke around here anyway).

The Ducks.allaboutlakeoswegolivingaphotoblog.com

The Ducks…..No, not the football team.  However, in honor of the Civil War Game today between the Ducks and the Beavers, I thought I’d post a picture of these Lake Oswego ducks (the best, or rather the least, I could do)

These ducks and geese live in a small pond next door to one of our busy local Starbucks®.  Usually there are a lot more, this day I only saw a few.

The ducks waddle down the sidewalk and share the road with cars that whizz by on heavily trafficked Upper Boones Ferry Road and Jean Way in Lake Oswego.

BTW, may the best ducks, ah that is, team win!

Waiting

Waiting.allaboutlakeoswegolivingaphotoblog.com

WAITING….every time I pass this stretch of railroad tracks I see this rusty machinery (or equipment) just sitting and waiting.  There are dozens lined up all the way down the railroad track as far as the eye can see.

I don’t know what they are but thought of the real estate market and how everyone seems to be waiting for the economy to improve so I took this picture ”just because”.

Do you know what this equipment is and why they are waiting?  At Pilkington and Upper Boones Ferry Road in Lake Oswego.
