Little Girl With Friends At Lake View Village

This was another piece of art I found in an alcove at Lake View Village. I don’t know who the artist is but it’s always fun to find a hidden treasure.

Ivy Trail At Lake View Village

Towards the end of October, I went to the Farmers Market in Lake Oswego and found this brilliant ivy decorating a wall at Lake View Village and loved the contrast between the stone and the leaves.  There’s something beautiful about the simplicity of nature.

Lake View Village Alcove

The other day I walked around just one block in the Lake View Village and Millennium Plaza Park area and took a multitude of pictures.  While doing that, I discovered a small alcove nestled between two buildings that had some art and this charming water feature.  Of course, there was a bench to enjoy it all.

You never know what’s just around the corner.  That’s actually what I love about Lake Oswego – there’s beauty everywhere.

Lake View Village

A vibrant part of downtown Lake Oswego, Lake View Village is typically crowded with shoppers and restaurant goers. The complex houses restaurants, coffee shops, consumer services, businesses, store fronts and financial services.  Tables outside on warm sunny days attract conversation and meetings.

Sitting on the edge of and overlooking Oswego Lake, its adjoining Millennium Plaza Park and Lower Millennium Plaza,  hosts the farmers market, art exhibits, music concerts and other events.

Lake Oswego Lake View Village

My first attempt at night photography, and obviously I still need to learn how to use the settings on my camera, yet another challenge.

Lake View Village includes storefronts that have great shopping, fine dining at many restaurants, and Millennium Plaza that hosts numerous events throughout the year all sitting on the edges of the Lake in downtown Lake Oswego.  There will be more photos in upcoming posts, particularly in the summer months, of this wonderful, fun-filled area.

The Lake is a private lake and currently many of its public access points are undergoing construction such as the sewer interceptor project and work at Millennium Plaza.  As the months pass, I will take more photos of the Lake.  I am feeling somewhat guilty as I am sure there are those of you that want to see the Lake and have wondered why there haven’t been more photos.
