Mt. Park Rec Ctr. Life Jackets

While up at the new swim center last summer, I noticed they had these new colorful life jackets ready to welcome swimmers to the center.

Mt. Park Recreation Center Pool

I was up at the Mt. Park Recreation Center in May and the pool was still under construction. During the summer I visited it again to see the completed project. Earlier I had reported they were going to let non-residents of Mt. Park enjoy the pool as well. However, that’s not the case and only Mt. Park residents will be allowed access as admission is paid for through HOA dues. Residents are allowed to bring in a guest  to the Mt. Park Recreation Center Pool for $5.00 admission fee.

The pool is 25 meters and also has a slide, hot tub and wading pool. It wasn’t very busy the day I was there, however, I’m sure it’s being enjoyed.

Mountain Park Recreation Center

Mt. Park was the first P.U.D. (planned unit development) in Lake Oswego.  Its community and rec center has fitness classes, aquatic center, basketball court, weight rooms, personal training, sauna & steam rooms, drop-in child care, playschool, space for meetings & receptions, special events and is located at the center of the Mt. Park community.

Currently, the swimming pool is being reconstructed and is likely to be completed in May.  In the past, only residents of Mt. Park could enjoy the recreation center/pool, however, upon the reopening of the pool this Spring, I’ve heard that people living outside the area will also be able to enjoy it for a fee.

The sculpture in this photo is of two swimmers.
