Lake Oswego Skate Park

The other day it was pouring rain and I went to see who was at the skate park, but it was empty.  In between sun breaks I got a chance to take a picture.

The 9,600 sq. ft. skate park is slated to be cut from the City of Lake Oswego’s budget so it may well be closed by the time this picture is posted.  Glad I was able to get a picture before that happens even though no one was there.

Two workers were  waiting for someone to show up.  They are there to supervise, I assume getting paid by the City, so perhaps it’s a good thing it is going to close.

The skate park has wood ramps including a 4′x24′ quarter pipe, a 16′ wide half pipe, a large fun box and street-styled rails and grind boxes.  Normally, you would find skateboarders and in-line skaters there from mid-March thru mid-October.  It’s not quite as cool as some other skate parks I’ve seen, however.
