Westlake Park Has New Play Equipment
Last year Westlake Park was one of two Lake Oswego parks to receive new play equipment. The other was West Waluga. Just in time for fun and the first day of Summer.

Westlake Park
Westlake is one of the 27 defined neighborhoods within the City of Lake Oswego. Many of the City’s neighborhoods have monuments identifying the location, along with a green space or commons area, planted with flowers year-round.
This particular neighborhood also has its own neighborhood park – Westlake Park and has an HOA (Homeowner’s Association). There is a yearly fee so that areas like the above are well maintained.

Play at Westlake Park.
After our surprise snow storm, we had a New Year’s weekend that was pretty nice so I was out and about. You can tell from this photo there was sunshine, mild temperatures, and blue sky. On my walk, I noticed there were no children out playing in this, our local neighborhood park. Maybe they were all indoors playing with their Christmas toys. Pity, as the fresh air, sunshine and exercise would have done them all good.
This playground is part of popular Westlake Park. The park also has a basketball court, tennis court, softball field, covered picnic shelter, walking paths, and this play area. In addition, concerts are held here in August as part of the Summer Concerts In The Park series sponsored by the City of Lake Oswego.
During the summer months, this play area has a screen canopy to protect the kids from all the sunshine and then it’s usually a very busy place.
