The Giant Drive-in.allaboutlakeoswegolivingaphotoblog.comThe Giant Drive In

This is a popular hamburger restaurant and a fixture in the Lake Grove area of Lake Oswego.

Regular customers don’t let the A-frame, burger-shack exterior deter them. Since 1980, these burgers have been attracting fans from all over. Toppings for the 1/4-pound hamburger patties include everything from peppers and avocado to nacho cheese and chili. Choices for non-burger lovers include corn dogs, fries and onion rings.

Flying Elephants

The Flying Elephants Delicatessen on Meadows Drive in the Kruse Way area of Lake Oswego is a popular hang-out at lunch time for those corporate folks working in the offices on Kruse Way.  Others like me visit on occasion as well.

This delicatessen has “great local foods from scratch” and is always busy.  Yesterday, I had the meatloaf sandwich (delicious) with a chocolate oatmeal cookie (soft, chewy and courtesy of Rikki the manager)!

This mural makes it a happy place to be.  Forgot to ask who painted it or its origins, but will ask the next time I go there.  If you know, let me know.

One of four locations in the Portland area (at the Airport, Park Ave. Fox Tower, NW 22nd and LO).
