The Smileys2 Of Lake Oswego

The weatherman said we’re supposed to have about 7 days of rain coming up and a typical winter-like Northwest weather pattern.  Since we’ve been having mild temperatures and sun, which I loved, I felt I needed a “smiley” today.

Recently at lunch, I looked up and there was a smiley.   I guess you can say it was smiling down on me.  It made my day.  In fact, it almost looks like it’s winking at me.

I’ve been looking for smileys (two of anything and something replicating a mouth) in Lake Oswego and will continue my search.  If you see one, let me know. :)   They’re harder to find than you might think.

The Smileys Of Lake Oswego.

Some photographers are obsessed with taking pictures of benches, doors, dogs, cars, etc. There’s a well-known photographer who has become famous for her smileys.  In fact, she’s become so famous that American Express has used her pictures for their commercials. You may have seen it. She was also interviewed recently, I believe on 60 Minutes, where she explained how she looks for smileys.

What’s a smiley?  It’s a picture showing two of a kind of anything and something that could replicate a mouth. My quest was to find smileys in Lake Oswego.  It turned out to be a lot harder than it looked and it has become my secret challenge.  However, imagine my delight at finding my first smiley in the stash of pictures I already had. I see the smiley, can you? It’s become fun and a game.  I’ve seen a couple more smileys but haven’t had time to take pictures yet.

If you see any smileys in Lake Oswego, will you let me know?  I’d like to take a picture. :)
